Let us hear from everyone who came to the reunion. Tell us your feelings and thoughts. Share with us your experience. Create a momentum here that will excite those who did not come this time to start planning for the next reunion.

What a great Reunion! Glad we arrived early and left late as we were exhausted by the events. We even missed a few to catch up.

Friday night club was by far the best of them all. Could not believe my brother Derek was a winner on the Twist comptetition. Anders Nelson was great as the MC and the band and sixth form were fantastic. I think it was even better than when we were there in our youth.

Was total impressed with Branch Greaves still playing Football at his age. I think he is taking steriods or something else. Not sure if this was better than hearing Gopal Lalchandani is still playing cricket and I know he is older than me.

It was really something to meet so many people that I had forgotten about and to hear about their lives that made the reunion for me. It was like the 40 years was only a week in time.

The best part was that all the people were so friendly and open. It was like going back to the time when were at KGV and enjoying ourselves with all the advantages that we were privilged to have.

Oh well back to real life but with great memories and warm feelings. Looking forward to the next one.

ps for Jose Barros thanks for the Aussie game result. Hope the cab ride was small compensation.

Hi Alan

I was just checking to see if I knew anyone who went to the reunion and almost fainted when I saw your post and recognised the names of old school mates! Smile

How are you and what have you been up to for all these years? Would love to hear how you found HK - I have always been reluctant to return as I figured there wouldn't be anything left of the HK I remember. Last time I was back was Dec 1980!

Hope to be able to catch up with your news.

Cheers

Nona (nee Parks)

Hi Nona

Vaguely remember you but don't worry I vaguely remember most people.

HK was very different to the last time I was there which was about 1977/6.

I was inpressed with the school in that the main buildings were still there though my mind seemed to think that hall was a lot bigger and the stage seem to have shrunk considerable.

This was the most memorable part of my visit going to the school and finding the same outwardly. I tried to find the house at Causeway Bay Hill or Tiger Balm gardens Gone Sad
I looked for Cavendsih Heights at Jardines lookout Gone or at least in its old form Sad
North Point Power Station Gone Sad
The house on the Peak Gone Sad

What was amazing was the road to Shek O and Big Wave Bay is still exactly the same as it was before Confused The Beach was nice with quaint restaurants/Cafe (small) Smile
The water was not and I suppose I shoudl havre understood with the exponential increase in bathers.

Stanley was amazing and a great place to visit. Shatin was a completely new place.

The centre of HK was the same but more of everything. The escalator up to Mid levels was amazing Shocked

Jimmys Kitchen was still there and a step back in time. Cool

I thought there was so many things I wanted to see that I must go back again but take the time to visit more outside HK and I will do so.

The clubs were all still there but now more that just Football at the Football club or Cricket at the KCC they are country clubs in the widest sense of teh word.

I hope this is what you were looking for but if you want details of the events let me know.

Alan
