I hear they're planning a combination facility which will help both KGV & KJS to expand. KGV will replace the old canteen (awww!) and remove the outdoor pool in favour of an indoor one.

I'd imagine a multi-storey block extending the height of the hillside...
I bet they'll put in elevator access (for staff / wheelchairs / visitors) from Perth St up to KGV level. That'd be very enabling.

One thing's for sure... if they design it well, and provide a decent entrance at the Perth St. level, they might be able to reduce traffic along Tin Kwong Rd itself, to allow smoother drop off / pick up by school buses...
Or, flip that around, and have heavy buses NOT climb steep Tin Kwong, but drop at Perth instead...
Hmm.. I wonder which way they'll go...?

I hope they do something "Green", like solar panels etc...

As long as they don't end up razing the ol' E-shape of the Old Block, KGV will long be easily recognisable in Google's satellite imagery..! ;)

I wonder if there is some kind of conspiracy, as it would appear that the old Quarry Bay School building is likely to be torn down as well. I have been trying to get some photographs taken of the interior of that school before it is lost forever.
Perhaps the same could be done for KJS our arch rivals as I remember ! Does anyone know somebody in the Education Dept who could take a little time to take a bunch of pictures of both these schools ?
